The translation services I provide are those of a human brain with eyes pointed at the screen of a personal computer connected to the internet and hands operating a keyboard. Inasmuch as artificial models of human language and knowledge don't cut it when it comes to processing texts of higher than low value and complexity (hence why I expand the acronym AI as 'Artificial Idiocy'), I continue to base my work off of a thorough understanding of the meaning of each text with the aim of conveying this meaning to readers in the target language.
This, however, doesn't mean that I 'm a Luddite refusing all helpful assistance of modern technology. No, I've incorporated the technologies of computer-assisted translation (CAT) years ago, for the immense benefit of both myself and my customers. My CAT tool of choice is the awesome and free-as-in-freedom application OmegaT, which (among other benefits) gives me good interoperability with Trados if you still use it (which you shouldn't). I'm nevertheless open to working with any CAT programme, provided that I can use your licence.
